Postdoctoral Research Associate, University of Oxford, UK

£31,838 - £37,603 pa inclusive of London allowance

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to undertake a genetic analysis of DNA double strand break repair in the genetic model organism Dictyostelium. We wish to appoint a motivated scientist with technical experience in molecular biology, protein characterization, and cell biology. Experience of using a genetic model system to address a biological question is preferable.

Applicants should possess a PhD or equivalent, strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, in addition to expertise in two or more of the areas outlined above.

The post is funded by the BBSRC for up to 3 years in the first instance.

This position is graded on the University's grade 7 pay scale, for which the salary range is £28,983 - £35,646 per annum. The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available.
